N\u00e9 \u00e0 Winnipeg, Manitoba, Michael Allen vit \u00e0 Ottawa depuis 22 ans. \u00c0 la suite d\u2019une carri\u00e8re en droit, puis sur la Colline du Parlement, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 attir\u00e9 vers Centraide par la perspective d\u2019aider les membres de sa communaut\u00e9 d\u2019adoption. Mais c\u2019est la temp\u00eate de verglas, survenue au cours de sa premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e \u00e0 Centraide, qui a vraiment ciment\u00e9 son engagement. \u00ab \u00c0 un moment o\u00f9 la communaut\u00e9 devait vraiment se rassembler pour donner un coup d\u2019\u00e9paule, Centraide ne semblait pas vraiment avoir de r\u00f4le \u00e0 jouer pendant la catastrophe, explique-t-il. Je voulais que Centraide devienne un endroit vers lequel les gens puissent se tourner dans les moments difficiles. C\u2019est de plus en plus ce qui se produit aujourd\u2019hui. \u00bb Il s\u2019engage \u00e9galement dans la communaut\u00e9 de plusieurs autres fa\u00e7ons. En plus de s\u2019int\u00e9resser de pr\u00e8s aux prouesses d\u2019un de ses enfants au soccer, il a organis\u00e9 des collectes de fonds pour les \u00e9quipes de hockey de ses enfants. Pour lui, travailler chez Centraide est une source constante d\u2019inspiration. \u00ab Nos b\u00e9n\u00e9voles sont l\u00e0 pour aider pendant leur temps libre, et notre personnel est extr\u00eamement d\u00e9vou\u00e9 et motiv\u00e9. Ils partagent l\u2019objectif commun d\u2019aider les autres membres de leur communaut\u00e9. \u00bb<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
